Cooperation with the data company Svarma and a grant from the Technology Development Fund

YGG and Svarmi have been collaborating with the digital assessment of natural values since the beginning in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of climate projects. The partnership involves YGG leveraging Svarma's data collection and analysis solution to improve the quality and accessibility of measurements and has access to the Datact database where all projects are managed. The quality of information on the real impact of projects is central to the success of climate action and is the number one focus factor in YGG's activities.

Last year, YGG, in partnership with Svarma, received a grant from the Technology Development Fund of Rannís to develop even better analytical solutions. In this way, combined ground mapping and offshore data can yield much better information on the situation in each project area and allow a more accurate assessment of the land use at each site, e.g. in terms of carbon sequestration or emission reduction, biodiversity and growth potential in it. The grant is for two years and tests and mapping are in full swing at Svarma.
