YGG insights
YGG's first year of action

A little status update on how construction went at Yggdrasill Carbon this first year of construction, 2022.

We began to take basic measurements in the areas with the help of Svarmi. Measurements are carried out using drones that scan the areas and create a so-called digital twin (e. Digital Twin) of the areas as it was before we got started. The digital twin is an important factor in validating the baseline of a project.

We planted about 550,000 plants and prepared for about 200,000 more plants. Sowing preparations continue until winter takes over.

Our projects are running on four different lands and we are taking the projects through two different standards, Forest Carbon and Gold Standard. The certification process is rigorous, time-consuming, and instructive.

It is planned that our construction in the first year of construction will contain about 100,000 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere over the next 50 years.

In addition, we recommend a number of positive impacts of projects on the UN's global goals.

Our projects this summer brought about 30 people who are equivalent to 10-12 years of work and of this we are proud.

We are continuing the structure and preparations for the coming years are in full swing.

Then we encourage interested landowners as well as others to contact us through the website.
